Recruitment Process - Next Steps
We want to ensure that we give you a great recruitment experience. Now that you have received your conditional offer, we’ll need your support to ensure that we can onboard you as quickly as possible.
Help us to help you by doing the following:
- Book in your ID/right to work check now. We currently do ID checks in person at our Recruitment office at 57-59 Bath Road, Reading, Berkshire RG30 2BA.
- Prepare the relevant paperwork to bring to this meeting: verification of your identity, confirmation of your right to work in the UK, professional registration and qualifications check (if applicable)
- Complete the recruitment paperwork pack
- Please let your referees know that we will be contacting them shortly (we will ask for your permission before we contact your current employer). We will need references to cover the last three years. If you have had any gaps in your employment, we will accept a character reference for this time.
- Start the online DBS Check and fill in your details. The DBS Update Service allows applicants to keep their DBS certificates up to date by paying an annual subscription. If you are signed up to this scheme, please provide your original certificate so that we can check with the Update Service that the information it contains remains current.
- Please familiarise yourself with the name of your Recruitment Administrator (you can find this in your offer email). This gives you a point of contact if you have any questions for us. If you are unable to get hold of your Recruitment Administrator, please email us on recruitment.enquiries@berkshire.nhs.uk
- Once your pre-employment checks are complete, we will agree a start date with your manager and send you a letter confirming this.
