Logging in to our Nexus eLearning site
You'll find a list of all the Statutory, Mandatory and Essential training you need to complete for your role when you log in to Nexus eLearning.
You can start using Nexus eLearning as soon as you receive your network login details (your work email address and password).

Statutory and Mandatory Training
We deliver a blended approach to training that consists of instructor-led, eLearning and 'Teams' broadcasts
Statutory training
These training titles are a national and legal requirement and we need to ensure that you are always compliant with them.

- Health and Safety
- Manual Handling
Mandatory training
This is training that we've set as a requirement for your specific role within the trust.
Remaining compliant
We all have a responsibility to make sure we're compliant with statutory and mandatory training at all times. Before you can apply for externally funded training you need to ensure that you are fully compliant with all your statutory and mandatory training.
We believe in an Amber to Green culture:
- AMBER - Reminder received: Training expires within 3 months
- GREEN - Training is compliant
Please ensure that you renew your training before it expires. You'll be able to see the following colours against your training when you log into your Nexus eLearning
- RED - Your training has expired and you're no longer compliant
- AMBER - Reminder received: Training expires within 3 months
- GREEN - Training is compliant
Training requirements
To check the Training requirements for your role, please login to Nexus eLearning and go to ‘My Statutory and Mandatory Training’ This will give you a full list of your training requirements with easy access to the course.
All training requirements are signed off by the subject matter expert who determines the level of training required for a particular role. If you have any queries about any of your requirements please email learningdevelopment@berkshire.nhs.uk with full detail of your job role and we can raise this with the Subject Lead.
